The runes were much more than just a written
language, they were used as healing, protection, changing luck and fortune
and divination. Although as a language tool they have little use today
other than in an historic or Tolkien sense, they still have their uses
in magic, healing and divinationin a wide arena of esoteric and neo-religions.
In this section are pages relating to those activities as well as some
runic attributes for each of the common twenty-five Germanic runes.
The runes are arranged in 'families' also known
as aetts, these are Freyr, Haegl and Tyr. Each pertaining to a Norse
god/goddess.
