Strange Buggers
These days we seem to be caught up in the comings and going of two of our friends(?) Niggles (N) and his girlfriend Kel (K). Lots of things have come to pass, some old revelations, some quite new.
Two days ago (circa. 11/120208) we all met for a drink – nothing heavy but relaxed, as the day progressed K was getting more and more agitated with N constantly on at her for her smoking habit (N is a fervent anti-smoker when it comes to K’s habit). The more agitated K got, the more adamant N got with her – eventually she went walkabout and I went off to get her and drew to earth in the Smuggs. It had got late and I reassured her and spent some time consoling her before N turned up and quickly undid everything I was trying to do – off K went again (11th turned into 12th). Tracked her down to a quiet area of Morecambe and stopped her from vainly attempting suicide with an empty syringe. Called N and got him to come over before I did something I would regret (I was slightly upset by this time, ok a little more than upset; fist made contact with something quite solid at this time). N turned up, K buggered off again; I buggered off home – damned if I was going to stay around.
Home, Genie was in a state – she had repeatedly called me on the phone but to no avail. She knew I was with K then she noted my bloody hand and asked what was the gist. Told her that I had a spot of bother with N – obviously said the wrong thing here… She jumped to the conclusion that I was in cahoots with K, N had turned up and found us both and I had clobbered N (you could write a soap with all this!). Yup, she was dead wrong in every respect. I explained everything to her and she was somewhat mollified, my story was backed up when N called her later on.
Next day we found out what had occurred with N & K – K had taken an overdose with 12 contraceptive pills and a bottle of after-shave! So she won’t get pregnant for quite a while coupled with smelling male.

A day later we were with N & K again – do we ever learn? Sneaked out of Wethers’ and bought a Valentines’ present for Genie. Lunch at the Kings then we split up G and K went off shopping, me and N went to the club for a pint – met up much later at the Morecambe.
N started on K again for the smoking, me and G got pissed off, I went to have speaks with the landlady of said drinking establishment and eventually went home with G.
Spewed a couple of hours later (Raviloli for supper) and spent an unpleasant night arguing with my guts.
